The building was originally built in 1853 and has formerly served as a hardware store, hospital during the Civil War, and Brandon City Jail. New plans call for the property to be extensively renovated to include structural upgrades, refinishing of original wood floors, brick walls and open wood rafters, new interior finishes, exterior windows and doors, new mechanical and electrical systems to support Airbnb loft apartments under National Historic Preservation guidelines.
