Superintendent Track
Supervise the day-to-day construction process on site. This role focuses on the constructability and coordination of all team members to cohesively work together in a timely and safe manner. Superintendents leverage their experience of construction techniques and knowledge of construction materials to execute on delivering the project on time and with quality. The Superintendent requires a true builder at heart.



Project Manager Track
Manage the financial and administrative aspects of the construction project. Lead the contracting framework in order to deliver the project per the design specifications. In this role you will apply risk management, budgeting, constant communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and high levels of organizational aptitude. PMs serve as the leading representative for the GC amongst design professionals.



Estimator Track
Calculate the total cost of a construction project by evaluating, validating, and observing the scope of work necessary to build the project. Lead the preconstruction process for all preliminary budgets and design-build cost estimates. The heart of a successful construction project is a accurate and detailed estimate. Work with the latest Take-Off software and be creative in the pursuit of reducing risk and creating value.

Project Manager

General Laborer
***This is a day shift position with a typical start time of 7:00AM.

Responsibilities
- Duties may include but are not limited to performing physical labor in assistance with jobsite clean-up, using mobile cleaning equipment, rough carpentry, site logistics, material handling, traffic control, signaling, fencing, deck and platform building, protection systems, demo and construction waste areas
- Review jobsite needs with the superintendents and foreman
- Participate in the activities of subcontractors and suppliers
- Review project perimeter for security and cleanliness daily
- May include the operation of equipment such as cleaning equipment, forklifts, backhoe, skid steer, excavator, compactors, and construction hoist
- Assist with the overall site safety and quality programs as required and ensuring Trade employees/subcontractors compliance with Thrash standards and all applicable safety codes, regulations, and jobsite security
- Maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees
- Pick up, collect, sort, and dispose of (recycle) jobsite construction debris.
- Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
- Tend pumps, compressors, and generators to provide power for tools, machinery, and equipment
- Lubricate, clean, and repair machinery, equipment and tools
- Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures.
- Provide assistance to craft workers, such as carpenters, concrete finishers, and operators.
- Demolish structures and salvage useful materials.
- May perform other duties as necessary or required.

Form Carpenter

Responsibilities
- Possess strong carpentry skills for constructing and removing formwork for all types of commercial construction projects. Formwork includes job-built forms and/or formwork systems, reveals, chamfers, pour stops.
- Establish grades/elevations using a builder’s level for concrete work
- Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Construct forms and chutes for placing concrete
- Construct protection systems
- Install blockouts and sleeves in elements being formed
- Possess strong abilities in concrete placing & finishing techniques for walls, column, slabs, and paving
- Be proficient in the use of finishing tools, such as vibrators, hand trowels, trowel machine, bull floats, hand floats, straightedges, edger, etc
- Setting and tying rebar as applicable
- Install metal embeds, bolts, and accessories to be cast into concrete
- Construct provisions for keyways and water proofing applications
- Mix bagged concrete for small placements per manufacturer instructions
- Chip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete, using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, or hand tools to achieve the desired finish
- Willingness and ability to perform other carpentry and labor related duties for the company as they arise
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, backhoe, skid steer, excavator, compactors, and construction hoist
- Assist with the overall site safety and quality programs as required and ensuring Trade employees/subcontractors compliance with Thrash standards and all applicable safety codes, regulations, and jobsite security

Internship | Co-Op

***Our Internship Programs typically require a commitment to work during summer break (approx. 3 months).
Our Approach
- We want this internship to be a place for you to build your future in construction. Our internship program allows you to touch every aspect of the construction process.
- Depending on the length of your internship and your current qualifications and experience, we divide your responsibilities into three phases.
- Superintendent: There is no experience that can fast-track your learning of construction more than getting out into the field and bringing the design into reality. In this phase you will be tested with responsibilities that. We believe that if you want to lead general laborers in the field, you must play that role first.
- Project Management: This phase of the internship allows you to experience the construction process from the administrative side. You'll be able to learn how do decisions get made and communicated with design professionals. How RFIs, submittals, contracts, schedules, and insurance requirements play a role in the success of a project.
- Estimating: This phase allow you to experience all things associated with the financial forecasting of projects. Here you will begin to understand how different contract delivery methods are developed. Here you will understand the importance of risk mitigation and the early stages of establishing relationships with our trusted trade partners.
