Preconstruction Services
The Mississippi Department of Archives & History is currently underway with the planning and design of a new Civil War center to be constructed adjacent to the Vicksburg National Military Park (VNMP). MDAH is working with multiple partners and stakeholders on this project, including the Friends of the Vicksburg National
Military Park and Campaign and VNMP. The new center will contain museum exhibits, a store, café and food service, facility use areas, education space, and staff offices. The new center is estimated at 63,500 square feet.
Thrash is working in collaboration with Perkins & Will to provide complete architectural design services for the new center. The anticipated opening of the new center is summer 2028.
