Type: Institutional Project for State of MS Bureau of Buildings

Description:
PHASE 1 – Extensive concrete structures (Museum frame out and parking structure) with 2200 drilled concrete piers; extensive limestone and masonry work
PHASE 2 – 1.5-year finish and interior project that started in late fall 2015. Finished on time in December of 2017 for occupancy.

Negotiation/Bid:
PHASE 1 – Government hard bid project but smooth negotiation of significant change order amounts; architect was rushed during design; Thrash solved final design problems with structure and work through changes in the work with the architect and owner. Thrash self-performed all surveying layout and control of the concrete structure along with coordination of the purchase and delivery of all the concrete materials and rebar for the structure.
PHASE 2 – Government hard bid but smooth negotiation of significant change order work. Thrash coordinated closely with 2 outside exhibit contractors for the installation of all exhibits within the museums.
